Company Leadership

Tom leads the talented global team of technology, sales, marketing and travel experts who span 60 countries, to provide solutions for travel industry customers throughout 114 countries.  Not bad for someone whose first airplane ride was not until the age of 18, when he flew from Newark to Boston to see the New York Yankees play the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.

In 2006 and 2007, Tom was recognized by Business Travel News as one of the “25 Most Influential Executives.”  He attributes much of his success to “being in the right place at the right time with the right people,” yet he is no stranger to hard work or the importance of exceptional customer service...lessons he learned in his early years working jobs like paperboy, janitor, pizza delivery and bartender while attending Villanova University.

Tom was appointed President of Sabre Holdings in January 2010 from his previous role as Executive Vice President, Sabre Holdings, and Group President, Sabre Travel Network and Sabre Airline Solutions. Earlier roles included various senior leadership positions within Sabre Holdings, both in the U.S. and in Latin America.  Prior to joining Sabre in 1994, he held a variety of sales, marketing and operations positions at American Airlines and Consolidated Freightways, Inc.

In 2010, Tom was appointed to the Corporation for Travel Promotion Board of Directors by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke. He also serves on the executive committee of the World Travel and Tourism Council, the Dean’s Board of the Villanova School of Business, the Advisory Board of Southern Methodist University School of Engineering and the Hewlett-Packard Global Customer Advisory Board.  He is a former member of the boards of directors for SITA Inc and TRX Inc.
