Mary Alice Taylor is an independent business executive and the former chairman and CEO of HomeGrocer.com. She also brings extensive experience in operations and distribution logistics from executive careers at Citigroup and Federal Express.

Early in her career, Taylor held management positions with Shell Oil, Cook Industries and Northern Telecom. She then worked for Federal Express for 16 years, where she served in a variety of senior management roles, including senior vice president of Ground Operations, responsible for all facets of pickup and delivery operations in North America. She was also responsible for planning and engineering operational systems, hub expansion and operations, global operations scheduling and control, and worldwide properties, construction and real estate management.

At Citigroup, Taylor served as corporate executive senior vice president of Global Operations and Technology, where she was responsible for standardizing and centralizing worldwide operations and instigating quality and cost-effectiveness efforts.

Taylor serves on the board of directors for Sabre Holdings, Autodesk, Blue Nile, and Allstate. She previously served on the boards of Dell Computer, Webvan, Exult and Perrigo. She has served on the boards of George W. Bush’s High-Tech Council, the Barksdale Reading Institute Advocacy Council, and Mississippi State University’s Foundations Board.

Taylor earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Mississippi State University, and she holds a certified public accountant certificate.
